hi all, i decided to wait for my new build and get something more extreme, i intent do cool this with a nice watercooling set, only once i started to look, my eyes started to burn from the prices of wc-sets, so i started trying building custom stuff, wich started in a nice result, but then i saw some thermaltake bigwater products, but once i started looking around for comments aboud it, i only hear, thermaltake wc is a no go, can anyone maybe tell me whats wrong with thermaltake wc and what is a good bang for buck watercooling set that can handel a cpu, northbridge and graphixcard?

thanks

Rob

It depending on the mobo (NB), CPU and GFX card your using. If it is relatively high end then to cool all 3 on 1 loop would really need a custom kit. That can vary anything from £100 to £250 quid really.

Edit: Just checked your profile and sig and it doesn't say what hardware you're looking at.

from the sounds of it mate you will want a custom loop, just ask on here and peeps will help you to get the best of your money

planning to get a:

armor+ case

msi 9800 gx2 oc

striker II extreme

intel q9450

but for the video card its optional when good waterblocks come for it.

For your intended components a Thermaltake kit is highly inappropriate. It's like buying a new Rolls Royce and parking it in the street.

The Thermaltake water cooling gear is low quality and has a poor reputation for reliability.

You will need a custom setup, I know EK are bringing out a waterblock for the 9800 GX2 in the next fortnight, but just this will likely cost £80 or more. To cool everything you will be looking at a budget of £250+.

well i think il be doing a waterloop of northbridge and cpu for now, and i like have it bang for buck, as like the radiator, i can add another 1 if i go to a graphics hard, so that can be a small 1 to.

To cool your CPU and Northbridge I'd suggest a good quality 240mm rad. Top of the pile is the Thermochill PA120.2.

One comment on your plan; if you remove the heatsink from the Northbridge, it is attached to the Southbridge and VRM heatsinks so you will have to find a way of replacing them.

Your looking at a custom loop mate. If you need any help putting one together send me your msn add or something.. ill happily give you a hand.
