Help with testing Minecraft Server

Hai,

so, I tried setting up a server on my computer as a host to be able to play my world in college with some friends but before i do that i need to make sure that someone can connect to my server from outside my local network using my external ip.

If you have a legit minecraft account and some time spare to help me out I would really appreciate it.

Im pretty sure you cant do too much with just my external ip but just in case i wont post it here and instead will pm to someone who is willing to help.

hey dude ill help you out i run a few my self and have come accross all the problems you may encounter pm me your skype or something and ill talk you through it the easy way

server is all setup and working now, ill consider opening it to public when i work out the groups etc.(will depend if my friends will decide to some stuff i don't appreciate and need moderation in permissions etc.)
