Help with my sapphire radeon hd 6950. it wont start correctly after mistake

Hi. i just got a sapphire radeon hd 6950 dual fan with dual bios. i was switching the dual bios switch with a screwdriver because of tight space when the tip of thw switch suddenly broke and the screwdriver got some force, even tho i dont think it damaged anything outside the switch. when i did that then suddenly my screen went black and the fans ramped up to full speed, this happens now everytime i start the computer, no picture on monitor and full fan speed. i also get a red light standing at vga-led.ive tried a different pci-e slot, but same thing, ive checked power connectors and everything like that and also tried different power cables. ive managed to flip the switch back into its original place, but same thing. at the damage you can see at the switch it is gone most of the plastic on it and its just the moving part left. (will get pictures if requested) is it even possible that a malfunction from the switch can do this? and how can i eventually fix it, and if it isnt possible to do that from the switch where could the dmg be? i havent gotten to test it on another mb/computer yet and not another graphics card at my computer. but i can hear from the sound that everything boots up like normal and i can hear windows starting. so is it anything i can do to fix this and if not you think its possible to return it? or they will just say i broke it (which i kinda did ;*( )

Btw, ive tried to reset bios, but havent figured out how since the mb is covered in the ultimate force cover.

Sounds like it's foobared to me, did the screwdriver touch the card at all? because if the metal of the screwdriver touched the wrong part of the card you could have shorted it and possibly fried it. If the switch is back in it's normal position then either only the actual switch has moved and not the part it moves or your card is dead.

Unfortunately stuff like that isn't covered by the warranty so you will probably have to pay to get it fixed.
