The water blocks are too close to each other for the tubing to fit...:(

Not only that i cant put my sound card in because the vga blocks are so thick....:( This is terrible and ive been pulling my hair out for the past 2 hours.... Any ideas anyone? I bought the blocks from Phil do u think he would take em back even though i fitted them? I havent used them tho as u can see. Would the

There’s most likely a 90 degree bend for the blocks

Or they can be custom mod ed

you can still get the system up and running tho just not sli for now

Although this hurts me to say im gonna have to leave it in bits and wait........... Ill have to stay on me xps lappy for now and ive emailed phil to see if i can exchange them for maze 4s..

Even if i had them modded it still stops me using the rest of the slots.

Cheers

This has been noted as the one big problem with that motherboard, if you have 2 dual slot cards (either 512s or thick waterblock) then you end up with no free PCI slots.

Yeah ure right its a stupid flaw by asus.. Im hoping with 2 maze4 gpu blocks it will resolve this issue as i only need one spare slot. Does anyone know the measurements of these maze4s?

Cheers

From top of card to 'underside of block' is about 28mm, but the plate on the 512 covers 2 slots anyway. I went for the A8N SLi Premium motherboard in the end, as I hate onboard sound and it gives 2 useable PCI slots even with cards in SLi.

Does anyone know if i have 2 maze4 gpu blocks fitted will i have a slot available still? I really wish not to use the onboard sound... So the maze 4 are thicker than the nv78s then?

Hi Fatty,

I think ure right and im gonna go for the maze 4 kit and if needs be ill have to sacrifice the sound card :( Although i think it will fit if i do this and use the backplate from the Stock cooler.....

And if i dont use the springs? Im sure this will do the trick if i use ptfe tape on the bolt when tightening the nuts on? Any suggestions on this idea are appreciated :)

Thanks for the help
