help sending a WU

hi, so i just finished a WU about an hour ago and it was stuck at 100% and when i checked the status viewer, it said that it was trying to send the finished WU to the server but it couldn't.... i don't know why this is happening, this is the first time that it has happened and its not my internet (as i can search the web, and post on here

)

any ideas?

oh, and i tried to stop it reboot, and start it again to send it... but it just started a new WU, does this mean i lost that other WU??? that would suck (but i think i see a file in the work folder that says results... don't know if that from the new WU or the old WU....) damm... well even IF i didn't lose it, how would i go about sending it in? and if this happens again how should i try to fix it so i don't lose that WU next time

nope, you haven't lost your WU. (at least you shouldn't have), it probably a Stanford glitch.

The are having some problems with the servers probably. I couldn't send in my SMP this morning, what I did was just restart the client.

At a restart the client is programmed to send all of the work that is has not returned. It also does this every 6 hours, but with SMP's being on a Wuick Return Bonus I didn't want to wait and loose more points

If you want tot be sure you didn't loose the WU, just post the Fahlog and we will see if it has discarded the WU or just placed it in the queue.

this tells you that is being held in the queue, so it hasn't been discarded.

It seems that you were having the exact problem as I did, so the SMP server probably was down. It should send it out the next time round.

if you've already submitted 10 SMP's I'd restart the client as you will not loose more points by having the WU sitting on your HDD. If you haven't submitted 10 SMP's it doesn't matter as you didn't qualify for the QRB.

cuz i don't know if i did 10 WU with this SMP yet, but if i didn't i'm really close, (like 8 or 9) so i wanna send it in asap

the server is reknowned for playing up

it will post. you are probably have trouble receiving WUs as well ???

i normally have to attempt to get a packet about 3-9 times, during server updates

most of the time (as mentioned) its stanford and their servers beeing down...

when its not the sever you can try the -send all flag, it will keep trying to send untill all finished WU's are gone (sended)..
