Help Please

Hi, I just downloaded & ran this program & my pc went haywire freezing up etc. I promptly uninstalled it 7 all is back to normal again. However I would like to do this for the team 7 whoever else benefits from it. Is there a guide on how it should be configured before I reinstall it please?

The two downloads most of us use between us are; The foldaing at home version 7 client, the GPU Tracker V2.

Both allow you to fold on either the CPU, the GPU or both.

Hi, i have the downloads but when I installed them last my pc kept freezing up. It must be something to do with the way i had it set up? I was hoping to get some advice on settings etc. Please

What are your clocks and temps like? Freezing is a sign of instability in your rig. What are you folding on, your CPU or GPU or both? List all your specs as well.

folding is basically stressing your computer to calculate the breakdown of certain molecules of some sort, so yeah it is not something that is being done on main rig, or atleast the computer isnt very usable when the folding is running

I use my main computer just fine with folding. Although when I'm running Visual Studio, Eclipse or a similar program I have to turn off GPU folding.

@OP - As above, it seems to be a stability issue.

This is not true ,
i can use PS7 i can game video edeting , etc.......

Folding will go to the background ones using other demanding programs
it will throttle back... !

Some programs are better than others for that regard. Some games I can play no problem while folding, but others turn to a chopfest. My wife has to pause folding when using Lightroom 4 as well because it becomes totally unusable while folding.

Basically, YMMV depending on the program.

Aa i see ..thanks mate for the headsUp ,
then i have always been lucky or lag free when i keep Folding and gaming (photoshoping) at the same time,
