I received my 2 new components for my pc today and have been trying for the past 3 hours to get some sort of signal on the screen. Everything has power, and all of the fans/hard drives fans spin and the front panel connecters lights turn on. The graphics card and cpu fan spins too. There is no beeps upon startup, but when I remove both ram sticks I get a 3 long error beep code. The parts that I have put in are brand new. The motherboard is a MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 and the cpu is an AMD athlon x4 750k. The graphics card is a few months old but was still bought brand new and was working today before I changed the components.
The rest of my specs are in my signature, I will take onboard any advice given. thanks in advance

have you tried it with a single ram stick installed? one might be faulty

If only the cpu and motherboard was changed i would be inclined to think it is one of those at fault.

Yes I have tried with one ram stick then tested with the other. It might be the cause as my other cpu and motherboard still work.

do you have any friends or anyone with an FM2 motherboard that you could kindly ask if they could test you cpu? if you could also see if you could borrow some other DDR3 ram from someone, your ram is pretty old and while it is DDR3 there it has a small chance of being the issue.

Could you please post your full rig specs in you OP? Sigs change over time but people could get advice from this thread well into the future.

And just to be sure the gpu is hooked into the monitor and not a graphics output on the motherboard?

yeah sure thing

2x2GB OCZ Gold DDR3 @1066
XFX HD 7790 1GB DDR5
CX430M. And no I dont know anyone at all who has DDR3 ram let alone a FM2 socket, motherboard thanks for the advice though.

Can you try another connection on your GPU/ Monitor or a different cable?

Otherwise I'm assuming there's no way to flash your bios without an image?

I did not buy new ram just a new motherboard and CPU the ram is a few months old and was working on the last motherboard and cpu. It was not overclocked and was running a stock speeds

I did actually notice that but because all of those types of ram had passed I just assumed my ram would be okay. I am hopefully taking it to a repair shop for them to diagnose the exact problem. Does ram stop the computer displaying anything on the screen?

If it's not compatible your PC won't even boot, let alone display an image.

Well the fans turn on and all but nothing shows up on screen. Im back with my previous motherboard and cpu installed and everything is well. If it is the ram I will just have to buy some different stuff then.
