first off i would like to say thanks in advance everyone on oc3d have been very cool, ok so i have an e7300 currently running at 3.3ghz @ 1.36v and that is on an asus p5g41c-m 8gb ddr3 kingston hyper x 1600mhz cas 9 currently running at 1320mhz cas 9 @ 1.7v i have a corsair a70 that keeps my temps around 46-52c(15-24c ambient) o i also have the northbrigde @ 1.2v and the vtt @ 1.3v, the first thing i need help with is i cant seem to boot at anything higher than 3.44ghz like 3.45ghz just wont boot and ive tried uping the vcore to around 1.5v and still nothing so i tried lowering the multiplier to x6 and it still wont boot past 344 on the fsb, and my second question would be can u oc ram 1333mhz on the g41 platfrom and what is safe voltage on the ram as im already at 1.7v the rated voltage is 1.65

Sounds like a FSB hole to me.. keep your multiplier at 6x and go for 360 or even 370 on the FSB. If i understand you correctly you are running your RAM downclocked and overvolting them? If 1.65 is rated for 1600Mhz and you are running at or below that there is no need to run 1.7v.

From my experience running RAM synced with FSB gives best stability, so you should have plenty of room to oc your FSB.. (might want to increase NB voltage to around 1.25v... vtt @ 1.3v should be enough)

i am sorry to say this mate but your board isnt a great ocer :|

your ram should need less than 1.65v if its not running at its rated speed of 1600mhz, not more.

that cpu shouldnt have issues that low either, they tend to be good for 3.8ghz+

i think its your mobo dude tbh

that kinda what i was thinking too but i dont really wanna upgrade on this platform i wanna do some with ivy bridge but i wont have the money to till oct-nov anyone now where i can get a good ocing ddr3 775 mobo for cheap? ima try what henrik said thanks for the advice guys

yea man i can feel that

to push it as high as you can the best way would be to drop the ram as low as pos, put the vcore and vtt up around 1.4v with the chipset around 1.3v and just see what fsb you can get. i dont think i would push more voltage than that thru it 24/7 but thats upto you
