sounds like you know what ya want already how can we help??? BTW I'd get a slightly larger ssd.

Like S_I_N said, I would get a larger capacity ssd as windows 7 takes over 20 gig installed.

FYI I just installed Win 7 64 Bit on my 80G SSD last night and after it and a few motherboard drivers I was sitting at 47 GB Free on a 72.4 GB (That's formatted space) drive...

So figure about 30G for the OS...I'm not sure you'd even GET Win 7 64 on the 24GB SSD...particularly after formatted size decreases (Remember you don't get the full spec that the HD is rated for). And once you did get it on the SSD, you couldn't put ANYTHING else on it (well used apps, etc.).

One more suggestion: you're showing 4G of RAM, keep in mind the Intel Chips go Triple Channel so you might consider 3x2GB instead of 2x2 (Dual channel is still supported obviously but you'll get better performance (I think?) from triple channel).

from the looks of things i would save a bit on the mobo and get a bigger ssd. unless you are going for major overclocks there are many good boards out there that will perform as good or better than the Rampage III extreme. definitely want to go with at least 6gb(3x2gb)of RAM in the mobo because the performance is much better with triple channel. 24gb SSD is not good for much of anything. scrap that and get a regular HDD or larger SSD.

dunno if it was left out on purpose cause you have one but remember you'll need a power supply to budget into the 800....Everyone is now going to shout corsair and enermax at you for the next 5 pages lol. I'd go modular and go either coolermaster silent pro gold edition(making a good name for themselves atm) or*bows his head in defeat* a corsair hx series(or the ax depending on funds)

coolermaster will be your cheapest ax will be best performer

And not to forget nzxt hale 90 series or mushkin psu

And there is also the new tx750 ver.2 and tx850 ver.2 from corsair

It's a sad state of affairs, but I'd dump most of that £800 on a GTX580 (or AMD equiv) and spend the balance on whatever el-cheapo parts I could find, and play games a whole load better than the i7 w/560.

For a gaming rig that is.

that would be a waste. a balanced machine is a happy machine. There is no game out there currently that will really tax a 560.

cpu 2500k

mobo p67a gd-65

4 gigs ram

spinpoint f3 1tb

64gb ssd

why not?

EDIT: if u also need a psu id go with a corsair antec or seasonic
