Help me find a solution?

Hello. I'm looking for some help finding a flashed base storage solution that connects via SATA and is available in small capacities (currently using a 2GB thumb drive which is ample).

At the moment the only solution i can thing of an SD to SATA converter...

Can anyone think of a better or cheaper low cost solution?

Well it depends on what your looking for in size. I would only buy it if space is an issue. But for portable devices flash drives are the fastest way to go. Just find a USB 3.0 drive. Difference between USB 3 and eSATA is quite big but very few products carry eSATA so USB 3 is instantly the better option.

Thanks but i decided on the SD to SATA card thing. Found one on ebay for £8.

It's going to be the boot drive on my server, and since the OS gets stored in the RAM on boot, it will do me fine.
