Help me find a new mouse.

Hey guys,

I've been looking for the best thread to post my question in, and I guess I couldn't find a better alternative than this.

Oddly enough it seems like a no-brainer, yet I must say that I'm quite confused. I have been using Razor mice for the better part of two decades if I'm not mistaken, and really never considered an alternative. However, the Razor Mamba I used for years started falling apart from too heavy usage. While it still works (battery obviously needs a replacement) I feel uncomfortable using it because the plastic is coming off. I figured, I'd buy a new Razor mouse and I've been using that one now for quite some time too. Now that one is starting to fall apart as well.

The rational thing would be to throw them away and just get a new Razor I suppose, however I have a problem throwing things away which still work. They are collecting dust, but I thought that I could at least use them if my primary mouse wouldn't work.

Because I have nothing but good experience with Razor I didn't really look for much of an alternative when I started looking for a new mouse. Unfortunately, it seems Razor really hasn't updated their product line much. I still see the Mamba as the top of the line and I don't see a single mouse to get released this year by Razor.

I hope someone has a suggestion. Maybe another Razor user found a great alternative?

Have a look at the Corsair range fella like you I have used razer mice for many years I used to be heavily into World of Warcraft. I considered the Corsair but bought Razer in the end :)

I must admit, that I did take a look at them other mouses, but I wasn't prepared to leave my comfort zone and went for a new Mamba. But thanks a lot for a new suggestion though

Had a number of mousies myself but currently have the Razer Mamba 2012 and Razer Mamba Chroma.

I have just given my Razer stuff to the misses.

They're not bad, they just lack, premium feel and their software is poor. I think they're priced 50% higher than what they should be.

Also had Corsair M65 previously, Had the premium feel and priced well.

The side buttons are to small for me. Also felt the mouse didn't sit in my hand all that well.

Like the look of the new ASUS Spatha but the side buttons look a tad rubbery and that textured pattern is horrid.

I have heard very good things about the Logitech G900 which I'm also considering. Logitech apparently make amazing mice and are highly recommended.

Thanks guys for the tips. I already got the Mamba 2015 edition from Razer. I had forgotten how nice it is to have a mouse which works well. The wheel was busted on my last mouse, now scrolling is a delight :)
