Help me find a case

I've looked til I'm blue in the face and have found some nice ones. But still on the fence about them as well. I have a Corsair 780T and I love it but unfortunately Its to tall to fit under my desk in my computer nook in my apt. I hate comps on the floor but I'm stuck with that as my only option. I built a dolly for it to move it under to keep it off the carpet but even after routering out the wheel bases to lower it even more it still is a super tight fit.

What I need is a case thats under 23.70 inches or (602mm) that will support a 360mm and 280mm rad in push pull. Both rads are 45mm thick so 95mm of fan plus rad space.

My current contenders are the
NZXT H440 and the Corsair 750D

My concerns or dislikes are
H440 small intake points for air. I feel this may hinder my rads performance.
Corsair 750D well it aint white lol plus same but more minor issue of the air intake.

Just wondering what y'alls thought are and if ya had any suggestions. I'm willing to research more. But if I had a direction to look it would be easier.

oh and i dont mind minor modding but anything extreme wont work due to the apartment setting.

Ouch this is a dilemma, 2 great cases both with the same narrow air intakes... I'm inclined to say go with the 750D coz JR23 did such a classy job with his, and it's Corsair. :)

Yes deffo the 750D imho.

I'm not entirely sure about this... but won't any of the Fractal Design's cases work?... I'm thinking of Arc Midi or something.

Again, not sure at all on this... just thinking straight out of my head.

But if not, then I'm with Wraith on his post :)

well just rewatched TTL's vid on the 750D and theres only 88mil of space above the mobo tray for rads and fans so I'd have to forgo push pull and do one or the other. kinda narrows it down more lol

no not all NZXT cases will support a rad above the mobo the arc midi looks like it will only support a fan up there.

crap just rewatched the section on rad space above the mobo for the H440 and its even less lol.

well I just checked my rad stash and I have another 360mm rad which is 30mm thick but its an XSPC AX360 I also have a Aplhacool XT45 240mm so no real help there. Outside the fact its an Alphacool which I want to stay with. I'll have to check reviews on the EX360 and see how it compares to the XT45 360 and decide if I want to go that way with the change.

yes I have looked at those they be heavy but cant seem to find any ifo other than it supports 3x120 3x140 and the likes nothing saying thickness.

well the EX360 is out unless i want to ramp up my fans and that imho trumps the purpose of liquid cooling to begin with. looking like the 750D is winning I'll just have to spin the rear exhaust around to intake and forgo push pull unless someone has a case to recommend.

Arc Midi can house a 60mm rad in push pull in the roof. Its offset so it wont hit the vrms. Just cant have tall ram or it wont fit

I know I'm probably going against everything we stand for and will retire to the naughty step after saying this but have you looked at the Thermaltake V71? It supports all the rads you need in push/pull and is 23" tall exactly.. sorry guys, I feel so dirty now but it does look a pretty good case.

Guessing Thermaltake isn't on the good list around here? :P

wow 23 inches tall is pushing it lol I'll have to remeasure for the 10th time to be 100% accurate. was looking for something in the 22inch and shorter range lol but I'll give this a look at. Thermal Tackey has come along in recent years with better products. I had a TT awhile back for my ex's rig that was a good case.

Not really, Thermal Tacky have a bad reputation on these forums for making some phenomenal tripe in the past, although they do seem to be getting better of late. :D

The R5(ttl did a vid) is also identical on the inside. Can look up that vid and hear him talk about the watercooling abilities since the internal is the same. Exterior is different but plenty of vids out there to check that out and etc

checked out the midi v2 and yes it is offest but only for a 240mm rad the rad support can be made for a 360 but it would require more modding than I can do in my apartment and keep the neighbors friendly. I'm leaning towards the 750D more and more will just have to do push on the 360 rad in the roof. Or see if I can get a 30mm thick rad past the wife lol Got the OK to gte the new monitor and case but might be pushing it with more specially after I pushed my gpu upgrade to include a new mobo processor ram and some fans :D can I help it I like all my fans to match and they cost 225$ :D

R5 is looking good but time to shut it down for tonight I'll be back tomorrow for more lol

R5 would be worth investing in. Could aid in noise too despite the fact liquid cooling the rig would make it silent anyways.

Phanteks are another option i can think of. Although not sure if it would fit a 360, never really looked into it.

Also maybe the Arc XL(22.52" tall) or even the Mini R2.. which is nuts for a case btw

Should tell you all you need about them!

R5 is out due to me having an E-ATX board that step down mobo tray would kill it.
XL is out due to no offset for 360mm rads :(

and dont even need to say it but the mini is out well cause its mini and I have E-ATX lol

Mate I don't know exactly the space it needs to go into but have you thought of a setup like what I have done in the past is have the PC on top of the desk, and I know what you are going to say but Ex it takes up too much desk space for my other things which is true but how I got around it was I built a hutch to go over the top of my desk and my speakers and ups and clock and all sorts of things are on it freeing up heaps of desk space that way you get to keep the case you already like dunno just a thought
