Help me choose my next GPU

But again the Colossus has to appeal. If you don't like lighting then it's a no no and the Antec has no lighting.

I agree there are probably better meshed cases but TBH it wouldn't make much of a difference. It comes down to preference.

Now if he said he had bought a Celeron 300A from 1999 in place of an I7? lol sure, but cases are mostly about the look, or, what you think looks nice.

Imagine how boring this world would be if we studied many reviews and then got everything that was recommended to us because it performed ever so slightly better than something we really liked?

I mean, we would all be driving Nissan Micras.

Absolutely gutted that I bought the N480 GTX Lightning. I placed the order on the 5th, what do you think the chances of Overclockers taking the card back for a full refund given the distance selling regulations? Or do they not apply for a video card? Then I can buy the 580

It's not epeen mate, its more the price similarity and being pissed off at my impatience. Overclockers will accept the return, so I am basically trading a 480 for a 580, makes sense, no?

tis upto you

the 580 wont be as cool running and will make more noise

and not for alot more power ither.

i would wait again after the refund for aftermarket cooled ones from MSI and gigabyte also ASUS IMO

I'd still rather have your card ANY DAY. It's cooler and quieter. And at speeds like that you'd never notice the difference. Your card has a wicked cooler, back plate brace, runs far cooler and doesn't have any cunning crap up its sleeve.

I would definitely 100% swap... Like you said, you've gone from not owning one and have the chance to take up the GTX580.

The only people that if going to spend the money that shouldn't consider the 580 would be the ones who already own a GTX480 as they wont be able to get much money for theirs.

Tom says as much in his 580 review video too.

Obviously when you get your refund you could wait a few weeks for 580's with aftermarket coolers and have the best of both worlds.

Some shops try and say if the product is opened they wont take it back but generally most do anyway as long as it's still in as new condition.
