Help identifying cable type?

Hi,

I recently bought an ex-display USB microphone, specifically a "Blue spark digital".

Because it was ex display, there was no box.

Turns it out it has a bloody none-standard usb connection.

I'm attaching a picture of the port in question, as I have NO idea what this is and what to look for. Is this something I can get a spare for, or have I essentially just wasted £50?

its a mini usb cable. get them anywhere for probably $5-10

Doesn't seem like a standard connector to me, might be Blue specific.

there are two different mini usb types. the one on your picture is type b. the one he's looking for should be type a

I've emailed the support centre, although suspect that they'll tell me to just buy a new mic, haha.

The cable is definitely NOT a mini cable, nor is it micro. It's less wide than a micro usb, and taller, when viewed horizontally.

Edit: Wait no. This connector has holes for pins, where your connection seem to be more like a bar?

That Amazon link; I don't think so, considering the connectors are all on one side in that cable and your picture shows that they're in the middle.

Plug the proprietary connector end into the receptacle at the bottom of the Spark Digital microphone.

Pretty sure it's the one from my previous post dude. Although I do wonder why they use an HDMI based cable for a microphone, let alone one they call 'professional' grade.

Its a mini USB audio jack. I have the same connection on my CM Storm headset.

So... we're looking at a Micro-HDMI Type D connection here? Why on earth would they pick an HDMI based connector for a microphone? Does seem to be the one though :huh:

Done a quick Google search and can't seem to find any HDMI Type D to USB cables/adaptors either...

Only problem is that this is a USB plug and play mic, and I can't see anything for one of those connections going out to a male USB A type connector to hook it up to a PC

I've just looked there too but the lightning cable is for connecting to mac/iPad/iPhones, there is sod all mentioned about the USB connection other than to plug it in...

I can't get my head around this, either I'm blind or this socket type doesn't exist.
