Hi all,

just got a prometeia mach 2 gt about 3 days back, bought it used, worked fine (head unit got cold) untill i tried to mount the unit in to the case. Well i cant get the compresser to kick on. the switches that go from case, to prometeia, to case again dont work. when connect the power switch in the back there are no lights. i manually turn on the pc (power switch to mobo) and it turns on. no compresser, just fans. The 2 yellow lights and the red light stay on, the green one flashes. I have flashed to the latest firmware (846) i have a AMD X2 4400+ on a ABIT AT8 MOBO and 2 gigs of Xerox Memory.

Please Help.

Thanks

Power it all down (unplugged) leave for an hour and go back to it mate and try again.

If that don't work I am all out of ideas (sounds like the control board has blown).

Maybe someone else can shed some light on it for you??

Soory can't be of more use than that mate.

Nah, you can stick the USB up your, and it'll probably still be fine.

Try the fuse first, as that sounds about right. If you don't know which wires should go where, there is a thread on here with photos and diagrams showing you. Just give a shout/ PM if you can't find it, and I'll guide you. :)

Here is a pic of it on the control board. The spare pin is the one closest to the camera lens.

Nice! :)

These are what the colour wires usually mean on the USB cables, so match them up to the photo above, then thepins on the header on your motherboard. It will tell you which are which in the motherboard manual, but they usually just follow convention.

RED = Power

WHITE = Data-

GREEN = Data+

BLACK = Ground

i got the usb hooked up fine. works great. When the unit has a power cord hooked up to it, but not on, should the green light blink?

Thanks,

The green LED should blink if the unit is plugged in. But it probably isn't because you need to replace the fuse.

When you get this blinking, and you press the on button the yellow LED should light showing that the compressor is running.

Once you get to BOOT temnperature (-33'), the next yellow LED should then light, showing that the PC has started.

OK, got the fuses. turns on. gives a delay....when i turn it on with the power to the comp. it blows the fuse. had 4, down to 2

Thanks TOxic
