Help choosing a quality case.

Well, I dont have much experience with brands and models so I need help choosing a case for my rig. (ATX)

Actually I have a disappointing Corsair 500R (Bad rivets, assembly, noises and vibrations, cheap materials, overpriced...):(

I've been looking in the internet for days and I remembered the Cubitek magic cube AIO case.
I love this case with polished aluminium looking but its impossible to find it where I live (Spain), so I want something with the Cubitek + Corsair 450D looking...
An aluminium looking with front mesh and window , x2 front fans + x2/x3 top fans for a future water build.
I know that 450D is the perfect case im describing, but im not happy with Corsair, and 450D seems not one of their best quality case.

Well, I hope you can help me choosing a case.

Thank's in advance.

Regards

PS: My budget is 200€

I'm probably going to be predictable here, and they might not even be of use! But there is the Fractal arc midi v2, and maybe the nzxt h4440. They are alot cheaper than 200 euro's though! It's really so subjective. You could also look at the enthoo primo thingy that alot of people do like for water builds!

Well, those case you mentioned are very well designed inside, but their external look is not what I am looking for.

Right now, the best option I saw out there is the LianLi PC-9F + window panel + modding the top to fit a dual/triple radiator with a custom grill.

The tricky thing is that I have to cut and drill a new tower :/

I'll keep looking for other options.

Regards

Caselabs? They are definitely aluminium. They are not cheap though and the shipping is never low because of the weight and size.

I've taken a look at the caselab cases and I have to say that I dont like any of them, they look very ugly and they are expensive as hell. (IMO)

Anyway, thank you for the advice :)

Regards

I like the centurion case, but it lacks of a window and it's a must for me. (I like to turn my head and see the internal components)

But Ill keep an eye on this case. ;)

Regards

Like I said in my 1st post, I dont want any other corsair case. They are not worth for me.

And 750D doesnt meet the requirements I mentioned also in my 1st post

if you were worried about good build quality in corsair go c70 :D lol even with side panels off there is barely any flex :D and the rivets are all good annoyingly lol.

have you looked at come of the HAF's they are big with plenty of WC opportunities

all id really suggest is go to a pc place where you can have a look at the case rather than just order 1 and then see if it meets your requirements. and see if you can look at a corsair 450 see if it still feels cheap.

i was lucky with the C70 i got it by chance ordering on line and it happened to be a nice case

Again the problem is that I want a polished aluminium case, like the front mesh of D series but in the entire case, so the best option still remains to be the LianLi pc9F + window.

I built many corsair cases in this few years to understand their quality, they build good cases and bad ones, but they are not cheap to have a random quality, so thats one of the reasons I will not ever buy a corsair case again.

And like I said in my 1st post, IMO they are overpriced for the ratio price/quality they offer.

Btw, thank you for helping. :)

Regards

Well, I wrote something about that in one of my post.

The idea was to buy a case qith all I want with no mods, that's why I asiked here for help.

I think with out going for a d range case which has most if not all you want but with a different brand will be hard to come by. Unless your happy to mod it.

I think you're going to struggle to find exactly what you want without at least cutting and attaching a window.

It sounds like you want something by Lian Li to be honest, those things are built about as sturdy as they come, they're a bit old-school and heftily priced but if you're off corsair then they are probably the only option.

Instead of us trying to make recommendations, it might be easier if you spent some time googling/researching and coming back with options so we can provide feedback on those.

Im spending time googling and I posted options like the lianli pc9F + window.

I understood that I must mod a case if I want all the features im asking for.

So a viable option is lianli + window + mod and its on my budget (case -100€- +window -30€- +mod -free-)

The option I really want is Cubitek magic cube AIO case, but I cant find where to buy one in Europe with shipment to Spain. :/3

If any of you know where can I find a Cubitek it will be very apreciated.

Regards :)

An aluminium looking with front mesh and window , x2 front fans + x2/x3 top fans for a future water build.
The Cubitek magic cube AIO.

1) there is no mesh at the front just a panel that looks bad and when removed unbelievably actually makes the case look worse

2) no window so you would need to mod one out yourself

3) only 1 fan space (140mm only) up top as standard, you would need to mod the roof to fit more.

If you did mod the roof to fit more fans it does not look like there's much room up there for radiators if you did go for a water loop in the future.
Just looking at the pictures here http://uk.hardware.info/news/27208/cubitek-claims-worlds-smallest-e-atx-chassis makes me think you would struggle to fit even a 30mm thick rad with a single set of fans before you run into issues with ram/ mobo heat sink clearance.

The Lian Li pc9F suffers the same downfalls as the Cubitek except it has the mesh type front look you are after, has much better build quality and just looks so much better.
The only thing the Lian Li has worse looks to be even less space up top.

In both cases the only rad mounting options you have if your really are looking at doing water in the future is either a single 240/280 in the front of the cases mounted vertically or to go external rads.

In short neither case match your given criteria.

Considering what it sounds like your after Lian Li is probably your best bet as they do other cases with windows and better mobo clearance but have the same sort of look though with Lian Li you end up paying lots for stuff like that.

Failing that maybe some of the Silverstone cases might be up your alley if your dead set against going for a Corsair.
I think your mad to dismiss Corsair because you had one dodgy case I've got a 600t and have built in a couple other cases of theirs for friends and have had nothing but good quality, suggest going to a shop and actually having a look at the 450d you like in real life and see if your opinion changes about their quality.

PS cant believe you said Caselabs are ugly yet you like the Cubitek monstrosity... sacrilege dude sacrilege
