New to the forums.
Just quick questions if someone can point me in the right direction (i've tried the search feature before asking).
I currently have been building mediocre pc's for some time now. But recently I've been enlightened to build a computer desk which seems like a lot of work/fun to design. I'll end up doing a build log but a quick question in regards to material. I've seen aluminum and wood based desks. Now I was more concerned as to sound. I figured an aluminum style desk would echo while the wood would more or less soak up the sound better. But at the same time wouldn't the wood hold heat more than the aluminum. I don't know if this is a catch 22 in a build like this. Also if wood is a better way to go what type of wood would be best? I'm going to be building something while waiting for the new processors and motherboards to be released so i have some time to build.
