Right, this is my v2000 project.

Already had the case powder coated white and I have most of the parts now.

Theme is heaven and hell so the top section will be lit bright white, and plenty of red in the lower section! Will have stainless/mirror parts to break it up abit.

Spec will be:

2gb 6400 Ballistix

7900gt

37gb Raptor

160-750 Baracudas

750w Tt Toughpower

PA 120.3 - DDC Ultra

Dtek Fuzion - Full EK mobo and full cover GPU

MM Reserviors - Feser VSC coolant with PC ice blood red dye

Ive also been playing around with some ideas on the reservoirs, just wanted to break up the red coolant in the roof so I though this might be a good idea.

With or without grills?

Had a delivery today, 3x Skythe Kaze fans, 1 Bulgin rad led I/O switch and a zalman fan controller.

I have NO spare drive bays so any guesses where the fan controller is going....?

Spent the day in bed due to a massive hang over so Im wide awake now and been hacking at the case!

Ive done some work on the drive bay adapters removing the centre supports so you can see the fans better.

And set to work on finding a home for my fan controllers.

I havnt got any spare drive bays left, but this means I now have the excuse to stealth the controller in the roof!

What do you guys think? Im well happy with the way it looks.

You cant see the holes as the buttons hide them, I did drill them slightly larger to allow for me making any errors when measuring, good job I did!

The controller is still mounted to the bays though so nice and firm rather than just letting it dangle under there.

looking really nice there, I'll definitely be checking this one for progress.

what are you planning to put in the top bay that won't be blocked by the fan controller there?

The top 3 bays will be the fan mount, it isnt very deep so doesnt go back that far.

Next 3 bays is the hdd cage with another 120mm fan

Then the optical drive will be in the bottom if I actualy install one in the case.

Nice going, looks very good....

I hope its just the pictures but it doesnt look quite straight :(

Only just though, and the rest i ***** work :)

It fits fine but I made the holes about 1mm bigger to allow for any dodgy measurements wink wink nudge nudge! Was quite awkward to get everything mm perfect.

Im happy with it though. Going to try and get the bay adapters finished and the fans in then spray the DVD drive, might even start the cutting for the rad if I get time.

looking good man. Got loads of room to be messing about with that case. I had no idea where you could put the fan controller but i love that idea.

Liking the mounting of the reservoir on top too...definitely no grill is stunning.

Where you putting the rad? or have you said and i missed it??

Im off back to bed. Still recovering from last night :D

"On top of the sky is a place where you go if you've done nothing wrong,

If you've done nothing wrong.

And down in the ground is a place where you go if you've been a bad boy,

If you've been a bad boy."

That is looking awesome, the white looks really smooth.

Right finaly had the acrylic and some spare time to get cracking.

Went in to work Friday armed with my case which I had marked up for cutting. And my selection of acrylic.

Theres a band saw at work so the constant 1way movement of the blade would be alot safer than using a jig saw.

1st up the case all marked up for some cutting

Thanks to by wonder for the templates.....

Then got the drill out with a 114mm hole saw and set to it.

The masking tape actualy helped keep the pilot in place which was nice.

Now Ive got the holes in place to mount the rad Ill jump to me trial fitting

the rad. These fans are just for the mock up and will not be used in the final build.

So these are just for (and me) to have an idea of what it will look like when finished.

-----------------------------

Right now time for the acrylic.

I ordered quite abit, various sizes as Ive never worked with acrylic before and Im expecting some mistakes. So be gentle Im no Tribal! :D

The bandsaw.... This made life alot easier :D

I didnt take many photos whilst actualy working sorry

But here are some shots of the pieces in place still safely covered in tape!

Some of the pics still have rough masking tape in them but the acrylic is nice underneath!

shrunk0028.jpg

Only just realised I didnt get any shots of the 2 roof panels I made.

But you get the idea..

What do you think of my 1st acrylic venture....?

Looking pretty sweet mate. I wanna see how good you got those cuts as I'm thinking of using a holesaw...or a dremel for a couple of 120mm cust

This project should end up nice :)

Hole saw was ok, took some cleaning up there was swarf everywhere.

Wouldnt want to try a dremel on a circle though? Maybe Im just not good enough for that?

Im not going to peel off the tape till the final build as Ive got quite abit left to do.

Still need to make some cable holes and work out where in the floor the cooling hose will come through.....?
