Headphones

masterblaster

Well after the Wife complaining of continual gaming noise from my PC (7.1 surround) I bought some 5.1 headphones of reasonable quality.

I tried them for the first time last night and I can't believe the difference it makes to game play. Although I have 7.1 on the PC itself, it's in a small room so tends to get jumbled into one sound (if you follow me). Played HL2 Deathmatch last night with the headphones and my kill rate shot up, I could finally tell if they we're behind me, to the left, to the right etc...... makes a hell of a difference....

just thought I'd let you know :D

That they do :boink: I have some Zalman 5.1's, and they work a treat. Congrats on the elevated kill rate masterblaster :)

you can choose eiter, got them from Specialtech and went for the USB ones as the jack ones come with a pre-amp and a few cables and I didn't want yet more cables floating round :D

I know this is sad to keep going on about it but I honestly can't believe how much of a difference they've made.

Anyone who's not using headphones seriously needs to consider getting a reasonable set of 5.1's no matter which make or model.

I'll shut up now :D

The USB ones good then? Ive used llwyd wired ones and they were very good. But, like you, i dont want 5000000 wires to deal with. Mite get a pair once my CPU dealings are done.

I have the Medusa's aswell and their Excellent.

Had mine for a year now but i blew the rear-left speaker, sent it off for RMA and they sent me a brand new set within 2 weeks. Excellent service and the new set doesnt have the mobile or wifi interface problem - No more annoying sound what so ever, think they improved the amp.

Anyways, Frag , get the wired version, There a lot better than the usb version :)
