I have a set of AKG K240 mkII on a very nifty dual purpose stand. I also have a set of Shure SE215 IEMs

a friend of mine owns the Koss Porta Pros. Says they are outstanding. But I can't find them here, sadly but you guys should check them out

this is my meager audio setup

Headset : Sennhieser Momentum on ear ivory

Amp: Askewlabs amp with an AD823 opamp

Glorious.... There isn't any huge price difference in audiophile headphones between Greece, Sweden or Germany.
But when it comes to gaming headsets... A steelseries siberia V2 headset costs 40Euros in Sweden, 60 in Germany, 120 in Greece..
And that's the same for most gaming audio peripherals

My mics...

Beyer Dynamic DT294 headset - A pair of DT250 headphones with a mic. Exceptional noise isolation as it has a hyper cardioid polar pattern. It's my go to mic for teamspeak.

Sony ECM-77B lavalier - the standard television clip on used by most broadcasters. Very high quality with a matching price tag. Omni directional so not ideal for noisy environments.

Behringer ECM8000 - designed for measuring speaker frequency response in an anechoic chamber or for room equalisation. Very good frequency response (obviously) but picks up everything from everywhere as it's an omni pickup pattern.

AKG D-58 - A talkback mic designed for a goose-neck and for speech only. Limited frequency response but still quite clear. Hyper cardioid pickup so reduced background noise.

Sennheiser ME66/K6 shotgun - This is another common mic used in television where the clip on cannot be used due to noisy environments. Quite useful as it has a battery section that negates the need for a phantom supply. (+48V PSU) Super cardioid polar pattern means it doesn't pick up much external noise. This is my secondary choice of mic for teamspeak if i don't want to use headphones.

Does any of you guys have experience with Marshall's audio products, beside Guitar amps?
They totally look sweet

I have Sony headphones, which i bought last year in Swiss, they were 40 CHF on discount, full price was 80CHF, so i got them pretty cheap, first headphones i actually bought, and sound on them is awesome, il post a pic later today since im not home :)

Don't start hating on Beats againn. Only thing I dislike about them, my Mixrs at least, so bloody uncomfortable. Going to buy some new ones this year.

What a pathetic argument from that guy on so many levels, it really isn't discussion at all. They probably don't deserve all of the hate they get, audio is after-all rather subjective. Having never used or really seen any hands on I wouldn't comment on their performance and quality for the price but they certainly don't come across as a product for discerning tastes :D.

the only good sounding headphones are the beats pro but they cost a fortune for how they sound

Classic beats argument ''but that bass doe''... actually no. The bass on any of the beats range is bloated, not very extended and muddy. It sounds good to people that don't know what ''good'' sounds like.

I've listened to the beats solo. They have a good lows indeed but I haven't listened to something like the dt 990 in order to pick out the best one although I think I know the winner.

Anyone ever used Shure SE315s? I'm thinking of upgrading from my SE215s and was wondering if it was worth it, or if there are a better alternative?
