Hi, I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but I dont know where is it could go. I'm about to take the leap and attempt to make my own gaming pc/media centre but I can't figure out where the hdmi port is coming from. To anyone that is interested plan decided on getting the i7 2600k (probs after the revised chip comes out) and the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe Intel P67 processor. Ive studied the motherboard and theres every connection under the sun expect that one. Unless I need an adapter? Can anyone help? Thanks

The HDMI port will be built into your graphics card. Now if your looking to use the 2600k integrated graphics, you will need an H67 board which will have hdmi port built into the mobo, or VGA , DVI what have you.

The on-die GPU for Sandy Bridge is only available on the H67 motherboards AFAIK, unless of course the board has a dedicated GPU on-board. I couldn't imagine going P67 and 2600k and using onboard graphics though.

Cheers guys for clarifying that. Intended on buying a graphics card anyway just not sure on which one to get! Looking at spending upto £200 on one so should have no problems right

It would more than likely come with a mini hdmi to hdmi adaptor in the gpu box, if not there fairly cheap at under £10 and probably under $10 if your in the US, another option would be to buy a hdmi to mini hdmi cable and they can be picked up pretty cheap aswell at around £/$20-25.

I personaly found it cheaper to get an addaptor for use with my phone's mini hdmi as i already had a spair hdmi cable but if you dont have a spair hdmi already it would only be slightly more for the mini to full cable and that would probably be the best choice.
