BIOS are on latest version for my motherboard which is F3p

Have you tried flashing the firmware on the drive itself?
Firmwares can be found at the ocz website under support/drivers section.

You could also check the drive in a spare or friends machine to rule out the drive itself if a firmware upgrade doesn't help.

Also have you got jumper pins on that ssd? maybe try changing them?

with my OCZ i dont know why but it would not act as a primary boot drive so i had usb, then hdd then ssd in that order to boot. works just fine maybe i was just lucky (does lucky dance... lucky lucky, lucky)

Might seem like a stupid question but, did you hit save after changing the boot order?
