Has anyone heard of Xi3?

I hadn't heard of them until I saw that vid this morning.

Those PCs look pretty impressive for what they are, i'm interested in seeing the X7A, apparently it will be able to run Crysis 2 with ease.

But can it run Crysis? Apparently it can :D

i just watched the vid - it looks cool......... for those people out there that nothing about architecture, and want a gimmick.

they talked with, what-may-seem, impressive mind-blowing numbers. but, these are BS wrapped up in waffle (any tech guy know the numbers - and the numbers they gave are for chip architecture that is years old).

for components to be the most efficient they must be the closest the can be to each other - the speed at which an electrical current can travel along a circuit is limited.... the further parts are away from each other the slower the speeds of processing will be.

althought the concept is sound.... the problems will occur when noobs use the Xi3 for its intended purpose... "swapping and changing component's configurations".

it will break and/or need maintenance.

create a product that fixes a problem... if the problem does not exist; create the problem!

Well i'm pretty sure they wouldn't go through all the trouble of designing a product then announcing it if it could not do what it claims to do.

Obviously they are never going to out perform a desktop with a core i5 or i7, but then again that is not the purpose of the product.

They spoke quite a bit about it on a recent techreport podcast... Its gonna be mainly for indie games due to it not having much horspower... but its a stepping stone to getting steam into the living room...

Sounds and looks good. When they first showed it in 3D I thought "ahh they're not that small, there are plenty of iTX cases out there as small as this" and then I saw people holding it and I was like "holy crrrrap! that thing's small". I like this idea.
