Hardware monitoring software

Can't believe I missed this, looks fantastic.

Gonna try it on this workstation rig I've put together.

I know you've got gadgets as an option, but with a minimalized Win7 install I've put on this thing - it runs in classic-theme mode and everything graphically is disabled, as I wanted.

So... how much of a pita would it be to have the output go to a.... (usually plain colored) desktop picture, which could update - i.e. like a background image that updates. I know a constant update would be crazy, but perhaps with a longer delay in the updates, would that be possible ?

Rather than updating the displaying image, I'm thinking along the lines of a set of 2 or 3 temp images, plain or for the fruity you could have a fourth add-in image to mask with, and have them cycle ?

Eeek, and how about some harddrive info ?

.... lol I haven't even tried it yet and making requests >.<

Fantastic stuff.

(Love programming - never EVER get the chance to do it. Machine language was a favorite of mine in the 80s. These days I find picking up a book is enough to learn what you need to do in most languages.)

Thanks for this mate, I can't get CPU-Z or HWmonitor to work on my pc, your one however works

Would you be able to add a Average reading to this aswell?

Dam, can't believe i didn't see this till now... i was mostly on the hardware parts of the forum, but this, THIS IS GREAT

going to dl it now, and i'm going to try it on my main (win 7) and i'm also dl win8 and ubuntu (i just wanna have them on a spare drive as VM if i ever wanna play around on them) so i'll be getting it for both of those as well.

(i just started software engineering, and i have much respect for you as i know how difficult it is to even make simple programs :S i wish i had some of your skill/experience)

+1

Good job mate, i REALLY LIKE IT

Could you make it so we get realtime graphs showing clockspeeds, volts, temps, etc at a specific time ? a bit like afterburner monitoring but for cpu and other components.

ok so i've been using it for a while and its awesome, thanks dug [and btw the gadget is reallllyyy nice looking too =) ]

i don't know your schedule dug, but if you do have a little spare time would it be hard to add an option for the gadget to display the same temps that are displayed in the program (what i mean is for example to have the gadget show me the min and the max temps if i have those selected in the main program, or if i only the max temps in the program it would show that in the gadget) i don't know how long it would take to implement that, which is why i was asking. but IF you can i think it would be a nice feature

Wow dude thanks a lot you have done an amazing job this monitor is now my favourite and I will be using it everyday. Really glad I seen this thread this real treat for the OC3D community.

Just thinking - is there any way you could develop this so that it appears in fullscreen modes like fraps does? Would love to see the loads and temps whilst benching!

the new version will read alot more hardware too

also, a few 'bugs' have been fixed

@marsey99: i havent forgotten your wallpaper - i will do it after this NEW app is done

dude i saw you had done some on it and i know its not a 2 minute job so i was in no way going to bug you about it as i know we all have a life to fit in around our geeky needs :lol

i did want to bump this tho and let you know it read my board fine as it did have trouble with my older p45 giga board but giga do theirs different and everything seems to have trouble reading them.

i have to acquire every "sensor" for every chip, mobo, HDD, ram, etc... and put it all together.

it is no easy task

thats..... wow just wanna say thanks dug, as a follow coder (well i'm just learning) your doing us a great favor for developing this

p.s. i use it 24/7 on my desktop and laptop, working works like a charm
