So you got given a sample card as a replacement for a dead one? That's naughty of the reseller and I'd take it up with them (unless you knew or it's a personal friend...).

No that's the card I was sent to replace my 465 Golden edition that caught fire. I had no idea it wad a sample card until the rma guy at msi informed me yesterday afternoon I was informed to take it up with reseller all I need is a replacement fan and to know that it has warranty

That's what I mean. The reseller replaced your retail 465 with a sample 470.

That's really bad on their part, I'd talk to them and either request a free fan assembly or take it up with your trading standards.

You could always make a new fan for it? What size are the stock fans?

i'm pondering running just a single fan for now the one over the gpu as the the rear fan is just over the stuff at the back

as I told steppy last night on steam at 54% fans are quiet than this morning loud as a helicopter at 70% it's tolerable

This goes out to Ray and everyone else with a Twin Frozr II card 470 imparticular

pay attention to the bottom left corner this little aluminum bracket that seems quite out of place, which I believe to be the culprit of my broken fan blade.

Bagger no GTX470 as the price (in that store) went up with 30Euro

might get another i7 will bring me at the same PPD the GTX470 would get me...

So apparently MSI Sent a few cards with wrong serial numbers out which designates them sample cards but weren't or something like that regardless I have to now wait 2 more business days and give them a call at this time they'll be able to discuss my RMA options with me.

Which now puts downtime of my 470 at 12 days as of today and counting.

we'll say at a loss of say a modest 15kppd for a total so far of 180k points lost

Well I guess it now goes from bad to worse

Could not get my rig to boot to windows keep getting this BS

BAD_POOL_HEADER at this point i have tried 1 graphcis card 1 stick of ram changing slots for both, booting at stock clocks stock voltage on the cpu almost gets to login screen than freezes any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated as it was freezing last night with the furnace out and no folding heat either!
