HAF X new case

Hi,

So today i received my HAF X from ebuyer. I spent all morning building my rig in it only to find when i turn it on it starts to vibrate.

i had a look around to find the vibrations were coming from the top 200mm exhaust fan because it has a blade missing.

The question is will ebuyer let me RMA just the fan or will i have to take my entire rig out and send back the case?

Or is it just worth buying a new 200mm fan and just forgetting about it?

Thanks, Chris

They would probably make you RMA the whole case but send them an email first and see what they say, they might just send you another fan. If they tell you you have to RMA the case just buy another fan the stock ones are pretty crap anyway.

I was reading about ebuyers returns policy on there website and it says that they would want the whole product back in its original packaging and tbh i really cant be F%*£ed to take my rig apart over one fan.

Do you know any good 200mm fans to get, and where to get them from (i cant find any on aria, i know other places have them but i trust aria

I agree with SieB, if you can return the fan and receive a new one go for it otherwise it wouldn't be worth the hassle of sending the case back and waiting for a new one especially if a broken fan is the only problem.

I don't know about 200mm fans tbh.

I'd send Ebuyer a email first though they might be in a generous mood and send you a free fan.

I couldn't find an email address but i did find there "eNote's" system which is effectively the same as email

so i sent them an eNote and am now waiting for reply.

www.scan.co.uk, they do the 200mm benfinix ones, really good and quiet too, ive got 2 of the 230mm ones installed, i removed all my haf fans when i got the case. if you going to replace all you fans only get a 200mm one for the top, you will have to butcher some part of your case to fit it.....

there is nothing wrong with the HAF fans lol it purely matter of opinion yes if you ramp it up full speed it can be a lil noisey ( and I mean little) but not leaf blower like. I run mine at half speed there quiet and still push a helluva lot of air.

Hi Mate If you email ebuyer with your situation they will no doubt send you out a 200mm fan as it happened to me a while back with an antec case as it costs them more to have the whole thing come back than to simply send out a replacement fan, so you may be lucky (i was)

If not feel free to email us on support@coolermaster.nl and im sure we can sort something out for you

As soon as I got my HAF X I took the standard 200mm exhaust out and replaced it with a couple of red 200mm Flowmaster fans mate, they're nice and quiet and really help set the inside of your rig off with red or blue leds, they're only about £10 - £12 each.

I asked multiple times if it would be possible to RMA just the fan or for them to send me a new fan and the lady on the phone just kept replying with "its against out company policy".
