My Specs so far

Case: NZXT H440 - painted gunmetal grey, with tinted window and upgraded LED circuit board
MB: Asus Hero VIII
CPU: I7 6700k
PSU: Corsair RM750i
RAM: DDR4 G.SKILL TridentZ 3000Mhz - 16GB
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
OS Drive: Samsung 256MB 950 pro M.2 NVME PCIE SSD

Fans: 3x Corsair 120mm PWM SP's at the front, 2x Corsair 120mm PWM SP's fo the radiator and 1 Corsair 140mm Airflow at the back

The build is taking a little longer than I would like and a little disappointed that Asus has already upgraded the Hero VIII but when it comes to PC's it is par of the course

As I had half expected this did turn out to be a con. Supposed to have been delivered on Thursday....

Amazon gave me a refund, so I have now ordered one from Overclockers

Hi Napiertech - how much space is there in the H440 around the mobo?
I'm thinking of it for my new build with an 'e-atx' board, but it's only 2cm wider than an ATX - would it fit?
I won't be needing to use any drive trays
Cheers and good luck with it

Hi Firefly do you have the measurements for a e-atx, I can take some pictures with a tape measure to give you an idea.

I don't know if you are aware but they have just brought a new version of the H440.

I am pleased to report that the CPU turned up yesterday and that everything now works.

I had some teething problems with error codes but got through them.

I had to ditch the cable mod extensions (I guess I must have put them together wrong). The motherboard was throwing out various error codes until the took them out and plugged the PSU cables straight into the MB.

The last problem was that I could not boot without a gpu being installed, luckily I have two in my other set up, so I was able to use one of them.

Will install the OS and drivers over the weekend and then make a final decision about which graphics card to go with.

Hope everyone has a great xmas

Thanks.
My mobo is 26.4cm wide, so 2 cms wider than an ATX.
It's otherwise the same size (and mountings) as an ATX, just spreads 2cm more towards the disk trays.

Have a good Christmas and good luck with the rest of the build :)

Hi Firefly

I will take some pics with a tape measure in the next couple of days, the only problem I can think you might run into is the location of the gromits for the cables, your mb might cover them over but I will check

Had a little hiccup with my build my RM750i corsair psu, standard smoking and is dead. I am sending it back and replacing it with a HX750i - hoping that when it when pop, it has not caused damaged to my build.
