Guitar Hero 3 PC Mods

I just installed Guitar Hero 3 on my PC to relive some of the greatest years of my life... rockin' out in the dorms the night before exams.

But, as it is now an ancient game, I have realized that it is not up to standards for me. It is locked at 30 fps and just lacks finish.

Does anyone know how I can disable/enable V-Sync and up the refresh rate to 120hz?

can't play guitar hero anymore

I have gh3 + world tour for ps3 but as soon as I got rockband I couldn't go back, get eyestrain on gh3 & it was stupidly easy, even on expert

guitar hero vision

When playing guitar hero for an obsessive amount of time and looking down to find out that your carpet is moving like quicksand

I had both as well, but I agree that the RB calibration was terrible. That's the only reason it was harder.

They had a strange window / hitbox to get the notes right. Guitar hero had a little leeway when the notes came across the fret.

But it's true that the is less Guitar Hero Vision in rockband due to the simpler fret skins. This causes an "afterimage" that can play on a loop in your head due to the cone cells adapting from the overstimulation and they lose sensitivity. The illusion of the room moving is still there in rockband but just not very noticeable.

Guitar Hero also has larger notes, the round ones instead of Rockband's rectangular ones, and this seems to make it easier to follow.

Rock Band also moves slower I think

once u get rockband calibrated it's a lot better.

the same as guitar hero? (thought u had to calibrate both?)

guitar hero seems more forgiving on timing tho

notes move pretty quick on expert on rockband also

not sure if it's faster or the same as guitarhero ... looks pretty similar looking on youtube comparisons
