This is a short guide to how to add your own branding to your Windows Operating System. I came across it the other day so thought I would type it up for you guys to enjoy. I am not responsible for any mistakes you make while editing the Windows registry - Edit registry at your own risk do not delete anything unless you know exactly what you are doing.
The Image -
For XP - This will be shown in the System Properties under the Windows logo. Naturally this can be anything you like from bean cans to an image of yourself. Make sure the image is saved in *.bmp format and called OEMLOGO. It is recommended to have an image of 172 pixels by 172 pixels. Save this image into your System32 folder.
For Vista - Do almost the same as XP but save the image as OEMINFO.bmp
C:\Windows\System32
The Details -
For XP - Right, the image will not show up unless you have a file called OEMINFO.ini. Open notepad and paste this into it:
Add the information you would like it to show for example:
Save it as an *.ini file into the System32 folder.
C:\Windows\System32
For Vista -Go to Run and type regedit navigate to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OEMInformation and change to what you would like.
Now press Windows key + Pause Break and see what the System Properties show now. SHould be something like this:

Logo - Path to the .bmp file of the manufacturer logo. The image dimension should be 120 by 120 pixels.
Manufacturer - Name of the manufacturer.
Model - Computer model name.
SupportHours - Hours that support is available from an OEM.
SupportPhone - Telephone number(s) for support for an OEM.
SupportURL - URL of the support Web site for an OEM.
Now press Windows key + Pause Break and see what the System Properties show now. SHould be something like this:
