Guide: Make your own RAM cooler!

Ok big huge props to |3ourne on this one... This is a super simple way to get an 80mm fan to sit over your sticks of overvolted BH-5/UTT :)

What you need:

-Fan (size is your choice, 1 x 80mm seems to fit the bill perfectly however)

-2 Zip Ties

-2 Rubber Bands

Step 1.

Take one of your zip ties and run it through both screw holes on any edge of your fan, don't connect the zip tie quite yet. Grab a rubber band - depending on what size bands you have handy you may need to double or triple loop them to get them short enough - and put it over the outside zip tie band loop.

Step 2.

Repeat "Step 1" on the opposite side of your fan.

Step 3.

Now that you have your attachment mechanism all ready to go it's time to mount this bad boy! Simply stretch the rubber band over the left side lock lever of one ram slot, and then stretch the other rubber band over a right side lock lever. I chose the lower left and upper right for my installation.

That's it! Now just plug in your fan via any means available (4-pin molex or mobo power) and u now have a nice breeze over your ram to keep it nice and cool during those viscious and key moments during the most stressful benching or gaming :)

Again, thx to |3ourne on this one, this is such an easy and great idea!
