Guide: Finding & Making Guides

Making Guides.

When making a guide, it would be helpful, if the title started like this, "Guide: XXXXXXXXXX"

Why? When making a guide, it's good to have a 'template' sort of thing, make the forum cleaner, more 'professional,' if you will.

Also, when searching for guides. All you need to do is search, "Guide:" under Title, in the Advanced Search! :)

Finding Guides

Finding Guides can be very easy, actually! It depends on what kind of guide you want, if you know what section it would be in, and by any chance, you know who wrote it. To find a guide, simply click Advanced Search by the Search box, on the top right of SX.

Then under Key Words, select "Search Titles Only"

Under key words, type "Guide:" (Without the quotations.)

Then on the bottom right, you can pick a section to search, or you can search the whole forum! :)

You can also search my Member User Name, if you know it.

Another thing you can do, is search how many guides, a member has written! It's easy. If he or she has followed the "Guide:" template in the Title of their guide, just type Guide: in the keyword box, and under "Search by User Name," select "Find Threads Started by User," and type in their user name! Then, a list of all the guides ever created by that user, will appear!

Have fun searching for guides!! You might find one very useful!
