GTX570 with GTX260

Ok so my GTX570 does not like running upside down (reverse mobo layout case) (currently) and the fan has developed issues due to it. So I am RMA'n it to EVGA. Now I'll need another card to hold me over til I get it back, so today I was able to get my hands on a GTX260 very cheap as a hold over card. Now EVGA will take a day or 2 to approve the RMA so I figured I'd play around with both cards I have the 260 in and running fine with it set as physics. So now my 570 can just work on everything else. Hers my question lol what kind of increase in performance should I expect?? Is there anything else I need to do to get the best performance from the combo aside from setting the 260 to physics??? Or am I delusional thinking I'll see any performance increases?? Another option I had was a 5770 but it was twice the cost and well everyone here knows my stance on AMD

Finally got a 932 so I can put the rad in the roof and have my drive bays back. The XSPC case will sell tomorrow on ebay. Was just way more case than I needed and had room for.

yeah seen that one before like the way he's so uncertain of things lol well I guess I'll bang it about and see what it does seems my 570 has gone quiet in the new case. Back to old style case with right side up mobo orientation lol. Gonna give her a few days and see whats what. But EVGA has already approved the RMA

SIN let me know if u have any performance gains with ur setup 570+260 coz i have 260 lying aroud and if it works ill put it as a physics card next to my 480

I know its from tomshardware...but still it seems to show a 480 +285 for physx making a noticeable difference in mafia 2. Seeing as this title makes extensive use of physx im guessing thats a best case scenario. Will be interesting to see what your results are like.

will do havent had a chance to get to it yet but I will try today and see if she helps kinda on the fence about it as if my 570 is failing will I get accurate results. I could always do pre and post RMA results as well lol

well no real benefits were seen frame rates stayed about the same maybe 1-2fps lower with 260 as physics. But currently working a deal to score another 570HD for 200 plus my 260 lol. That will definitely show a boost

still debating the deal while awaiting reply from seller. Thing is and I'll have to double check to make 100% sure. But I'm already running max settings and getting 60fps with the low of 49fps with big explosions.

ok somebody sent me a message about this I got an e-mail saying it lol but I deleted the email thinking the message would be here but I dont see one wanna say the name was steve-something sorry cant recall as i go thru emails quickly lol.

Question was iirc what did I see when running this config.

well as i said above no real improvements were noted. if anything I dont get any momentary lag when moving and turning quickly as i did 570 alone. fps stayed about the same no real jump there but none were really expected. Havent played alot of games of late due to a health isue I had pre christmas

(had a heart attack) Doing better now but the resulting surgery until lately has left it difficult to sit at mt desk for long periods of time without major pain in my grion (they did a cath thru groin to see what up and ended up putting in a stent) But I'm off for another 10 days before returning to work and will deffo try and see what percs this combo adds.

naw dude I'm doing alot better hell didnt even know I was having a heart attack. I'm 10 plus days post stent surgery and can sit at desk longer now lol. There just making me wait to return to work as I am a service/install tech for Time Warner cable so my job is physical they just making sure I'm good first lol and what better way than to GAME MY ARSE OFF!!!!!!!!

they say I did lol but I went in just cause i was felling weird. They started testing and admitted me due to symptoms and to do more testing telling me if the enzymes continued to elevate thye'd go in with the cath in the morning. Had a stress test done 07/2010 and it was fine then. And I'm doing well now the heart attack was on 12/20 I was out of hosp by the 24th
