aright guys i just wanted to know if i could use my gtx 260 for physics with my gtx460's in sli both the 260 n 460's are gainward golden samples or should i sell them n with the proceeds get myself 2 gtx 580s i know the 580's would be awsome its just ive seen this mentioned about useing differant gpu's several times now how much of an improvement would i see? any helps always appreiciated

if u have 3 pci-e's mate slam the 260 in there download the drivers for it and ur away mate

but once there in and drivers are installed go to nvidia control panel and make sure the 260's dedicated to physx to be sure and thats it sorted

no probs dude! one thing u might want to do since there all packed together get a 120mm fan and sit it on the side if possible so it forces in a little bit more air to keep the temps down

Bear in mind that you're only going to see an FPS improvement in games that run PhysX, and nowhere near all of them do, while dual 580's would get you a huge improvement in all games.

and at least an £800+ hit in the pocket and no games out there except things like crysis and metro will really warrant that kinda power, 60fps and ur sorted for any game

tbh im goin to stay with the 460's n the 260 for physics for now ive ran 3dmark vantage in its hitting 60fps in 3d well impressed only getting 35/40 b4 i may invest sometime in the future though as i cant use phisics for benching scores anyway for now i'll treat myself to the new mushkin ram n the noctua nh d14 for crimbo thats if aria still got stock n1 dudes for your comments n advice btw black ops is awsome in 3d n so's f1

im completely new to the overclocking n benching scene ive had a look at this folding @home but dont know how to go about it. i would like to have ago though, think ive been graced with begginers luck lol it would be good to put my system to he test. also could do with some help on how to overclock my graphics cards ive got the 460 gs glh x 2 n a gtx 260 gs glh when i try to adjust the shader clock or core clock useing expert tool it says vga graphics may become unstable n resets its self. as ive said im new to the game so am very unsure of settings to use and how to get the best out of my graphics? once again any comments or advice are very much appreciated
