Gtx 770 or amd 280x

Im currently building a pc but im not sure what gpu I should get I want to run games in high/ultra settings but I don't want to spend more than £230.
I am thinking of getting the 770 but I just want to ask you guys what I should get.

280x, as you get more Vram.

just figured id come and watch this convo as it could have some interesting point form people.
the above about vram im not so sure about not to sure that you need more than 2gb of v ram for standard resolutions, and those cards wouldnt really be for 4k any way..
but i guess it would help with things like skyrim texture mods and similar.

Its really quite easy to use more than 2gb vram these days.
