GTX 570 vs HD7850

I have the money to buy either the msi gtx 570 power edition or the msi radeon 7850, both have the twin frozr III cooler. But I cannot decide which card to go for. I can get the 7850 for £190 and the 570 for £220. I would be mainly playing bf3 at 1080p. Any suggestions?

7850 easy, 2gb of vram is a sweet spot now, 1.25 is not enough.

Awesome performance to power.

Overclocking is a breeze and the performance gain will ruin a 570.

This is what makes it so hard to choose. some say that the 570 is best and some say that the 7850 is much better. at the minute I think I may be leaning towards the 7850 because of its low power consumption and overclocking ability, but I do like the look of adaptive V-sync which is currently only in the beta drivers for the 570.

well simply put: no. I have couple friends where ati/nvidia spread is about 50/50.

ATI-owners, zero problems, and 2 of my friends have the error with that pink/violett screen/crash.

So from my side: ati/amd drivers are better! Never had a problem, even with crossfire.

7850 hands down. They're both neck and neck at stock but the 7850 overclocks like a beast and will destroy a 570. The 7850 also consumes less power which is another bonus as well as the 2GB of vram.
