Ok a very quick question.

Is the MSI Twin Frozr iii GTX 570 worth 30 quid more then the EGVA GTX 570?

The reason the EGVA is cheaper is because I just found out my brothers boyfriend has a big discount on ARIA

Means my build will come in only slightly over budget.

EVGA has better customer service, and Ive found better stability. IMO

If your not looking to overclock and you want better warranty/customer service go with evga

whats oc got to do with warranty and EVGA they support both oc'n and taking it apart to retim if ya want without questioning it. EVGA is top notch for customer service

Well the EVGA 570 will have stock coolers, the MSI has its beastly twin frozr II which Drastically lowers the temperatures and allows much safer, cooler, quieter operation at higher overclocks.

pfffffffffffffttttttt!!!!!!!!!!! I have oc'd my 570 well above recommended and yes the temps rose some but nothing dangerous plus as I said ya can do about anything to an EVGA card and still have ur warranty try that with an msi card and see what ya get

^Exactly.

I'm not saying you can't OC a stock 570 a lot, read what i've written

the twin frozr cooler however, undeniably better than the stock cooler, will run the same Overclock at lower temps, with less noise and the chip is, obviously, going to be happier at the lower temp than the higher one. Less likely to crash, less likely to burn out, more likely to give you a higher OCing headroom.

So I concur with what yassarikhan said - If your not looking to overclock and you want better warranty/customer service go with evga.

swore I quoated this not

and you youngster have misread what I said lol oc'n the 570 in my results have not increased the heat by enough to say it gets noisey quite the oppisite my 570 oc'd greatly and my temps went up about 5-10c on both ends and remained very quiet so its a moot point as far as that goes the TF design is just to get ppl to spend more money IMHO

no on the AMD side I have no doubt the TF design helps them out significantly

I just meant that he will likely have lower temperatures with the Twin Frozr cooler. But as you said the temp/noise with an OC is comparable so both choices are good. So I'll change what I said earlier to: Go with EVGA if you want better warranty/service. You happy now S_I_N

Stock cooler is very noisy, for me 65% of fan speed is nightmare and not acceptable.I'm sure MSI will be much quieter than stock cooler.

I had reference GTX570 from MSI and was overclocked very nicely - It could do 920/4100 with no probs, but cooler need to be set at 90% - and that was a jumbo-jet

lol when I said youngster I was talking about the one above my post not you basically I'm saying its not worth 30quid inflated price for a TF design cooler
