GTX 560 Ti vs HD 6950?

So i've been looking at upgrading my graphics card (currently have a GTX 550 Ti), and I'm just looking for some opinions. I can get a great deal on a new HD 6950 (under $180, ~£115), but I only have experience with Nvidia cards. I've heard that the drivers for AMD are not as good as Nvidia's, but I'm not sure if it's true. So basically, Im just looking for opinions between a 560 Ti and a 6950 (Twin Frozier II). I'll mostly be playing BF3 if that helps.

Thanks for the input

I'd go with the 6950 as it has the 2gb of vram and for that price you can't go wrong. What resolution are you planning to play bf3 on and at what settings?

as the owner of 2 6950's in xfire I can say one does pretty well in BF3 specially if you get one that's unlock able (would prolly have to buy second hand card for this) but keep in mind they can be loud and hot. (specially the reference design ones.

As S_I_N said, the reference ones can get quite hot and loud. So if you have the option of getting one with a non-reference cooler on it, i would recommend it. The powercolor one is quite nice if i remember correctly.

They perform quite admirably for the price though and i would probably get it over a 560 ti.
