GTX 470 overclocking with voltage

Well... I have my card at 880/1760/2000 @ 1.212v running Soft Shadows in GPU Caps viewer. But I think my system will crash when I open something that will push my card to 99% load.

Any suggestions how to continue or make my card more stable?

And my card is at 53C because I'm using VF3000F, just so you know.

Well, I just crashed at 883/1766

Oh, yeah, I should mention, I have a Palit GTX470 stock (not the dual fan version) unlocked to Gigabyte GTX470 SOC just for that 100MHz OC haha

Well if you are brave enough to give it more voltage go ahead.

Other than that there is no real solution, other than lowering the clocks.

Did you flash your BIOS? Maybe that is a problem?

I can't give it more voltage... that's the limit. Currently on 850/1700/2100 @ 1.212v running KMARK benchmark from MSI Kombustor (demo)

Couldn't be... when I flashed, I could go over 750MHz on the core and over 1800MHz on the memory easy without crashing or artifasts.

Looks like 850/1700/2100 @ 1.212v is the sweet spot, I don't get any crashing in benchmarks or gameplay... I'll keep it

But im going to try to lower the volts... just so it lasts longer, I herd volts damage the chip, is that true? and will 1.212v damage mine?
