I'm having a lot of fun with ryzen, overclocking with 1700 and crosshair hero . I have been testing stability at various settings. My 1700 can do 3.9ghz at 1.4v with ram at docp standard 3200 stable. With soc volts set to 1.15 and llc auto. I have Samsung b die and good enough cooling. I have noticed that the voltage of 1.4v is read as 1.373v in bios and under load I have seen v droop as low as 1.33v and as high, even though very briefly 1.41v. My 1700 can do 1.35v at 3.9ghz with ram at 2100mhz. I'm going to try and use the llc to stabilise v droop on the vcore. I think that my 1700 has room left to go further and I need to get the v droop under control to push for higher clocks.
Have you seen similar v droop on ryzen platform? I'm going to get the multimeter out tonight to test the actual voltage just to make sure. Does anyone know what the default llc level is set to, as a baseline?
