Graphics Card on its way out?

Last month i got a refurbished OCuK Geforce GTX 570 refurb (Actually a PNY model) with a 1 year warrenty. I was using it for about 4-5 days and then i started to have a few issues.

I will experience lines across the screen and the computer would freeze, this would happen after watching a youtube video or playing a game. Then the screen would boot with this same problem. After these crashes i would experience bsod and would keep on rebooting and getting these issues.

I have an XFX 550w PSU and the rest of my rig consists of an intel core i5 2500k and an p8768-lx motherboard and 4 gig of kingston hyper-x ram.

I have used an PNY GTS 450 and have experienced none of these issues.

Does anyone have any idea as to what the issue could be ;]

Most likely to be the card really.

You tried reseating the card / replugging the psu? Bit unlikely but it could be a psu issue, if you have another one to test on?

Try taking the card out and booting up with integrated graphics. Should narrow down the search for what's wrong pretty quickly :)

Have you tried different drivers?

I read on the nvidia forums that certain 5 series cards had problems with some drivers and youtube videos.

its possible the "factory" overclock is over reaching the gpu's capability. (possibly why someone RMA'd it in the first place)
try downclocking it with msi afterburner and see what happens

Thought abotu that but i have heard some horror stories of people doing that and OcUK being a bit picky when it comes down to returning it. Also the customer service hasn't got the best history

overclockers have always been good with me when i have had problems.

suppose its down to who you get dealing with your problem.
