Woah.... Pretty old system there man. I think you should invest that money on more than just a GPU
is it Geforce GTX 550 Ti?

The GTX 650ti is a good choice, however it will be bottlenecked by the rest of that system. You certainly wont see the right amount of performance out of it until you get the rest of your system upgraded.
Also, what are the other specs of your system? What GPU do you have right now?

buy also a new CPU man. I doubt if you will be able to play games at medium Graphics with the CPU you own.
I have Phenom II x6 1055T and Radeon HD 6870 and this only suffice to play at medium graphics.. So you get my point

just a video card - SAPPHIRE 7850 1GB D5 256 RM-589
just upgrading one or two parts is going to work very well...I was looking around at

CPU: INTEL CORE I3-3220 PROCESSOR LGA1155 RM 360.00
memory: KINGSTON KHX1600C9D3K2 4GB-CL9 DDR3 RAM RM 93.00
video card: SAPP ATI HD7870 PCIE 2GB DDR5 256BIT RM 839.00
PSU: C/MASTER GX 650W PSU RM 295.00
for a total of: RM 1895
you should be able to reuse your hard drive if it is SATA...and you might still have to replace your case depending on what you have at present
you might be able to find better prices from where you are..and you could definitely find a cheaper video card (I could not at the website I was at)...but I would look to replace these parts if I were you
