GPU problem

hi guys for a while now on games i have been getting random lag and when it does lag a buzzing sound is made through my speakers, not mobo speaker. also when watching a film the video lags. can someone confirm that it is a gpu issue and tell me how to check if it is the gpu. also would somebody mind telling me what gpu i should get to fill in the gap (i will be going with a 670 or 7870 probably in september) thanks a lot.

What games you playing ? Have you updated drivers ? whats your OS ? Check you temps with gpu-z also you can see if you got any abnormale spikes in gpu usage...

playing bf3. gpu idle temps are at 32 and in bf3 they are around 50-52. im am on win 7 ultimate 64

Not sure mate,, maybe you got your BF3 settings to high....
