Hey peeps never thought this would happen but yeah I just got screwed over by Corsair
So I used their new Icue software and it borked 7 of my LED's on my K95RGB and no where did it say at the time don't use this software with the older RGB keyboard models.
After soft and hard resets with a tech via Skype we couldn't fix the issue, so he said because my keyboard is now out of warranty he can't authorize a replacement so he said he'd pass it up the chain.
The answer came back No!
And to rub salt into the wound I'm also going through warranty on my MM800CE and they said they would pay for the return postage, when I took it down to the post office they said sorry this isn't a paid return so that'll be $60 the bloody mat only cost $75, so I said don't worry about it and called Corsair and they said we'll fix it guess what no returns label.
So like Gigabyte before them I shall now no longer buy anything from Corsair nor am I going to recommend them to anyone and if friends or family say they're buying it I'm going to talk them out of it. And I've not bought or recommended Gigabyte for over 10 years.
I didn't maliciously try and damage my keyboard, It's Corsairs software that caused the issue FFS and for the sake of a product that maybe cost them $50 to make they've now lost all goodwill from me. I have a mate who sells PC's by the bucket load and he gets me to select the parts for the jobs and guess who's products won't be going into any of those PC's.
I'm so disappointed it's not even funny
