Got my new monitor today!

Well my new dell E228WFP 22" monitor arrived today and It looks amazing!

I have to say I had nothing but problems from dell though. They gave purolator the wrong shipping address and did nothing to inform me or fix the problem. I took the matter into my own hands and spent approximately an hour and a half on the phone only to be told it would take another 3-5 days to ship to me. At this time the monitor was 30 minutes away from my house so i couldn't understand their reasoning. I finally talked the lady into calling purolator and solving my problem so that I could just go and pick the damn thing up.

Here are some pics:

All the colours are vibrant, It's just when I open the windows and things like photoshop than it appears to have a pink colour. Any help?

I do have one problem though and that is that some of the windows that I open appear to have a pinkish tinge to them. It's only in certain spots though like the bar at the very top of a window (the bar with the x, minimize and max) and some windows that I open in like my computer.

I figured out that it only happens with my theme that I am using (vista inspirat) I'm gunna switch back to default and try to find something that doesn't turn out pink. Awesome monitor for the price

The mac like launch bar at the top is called Objectdock, and you can download it and icons for it here. Kemp has also made some icons for it here. As far as the inspirat theme, there are a couple around the traps. But, google will help you

I know when I first got this Acer monitor, everything looked yellow for about 2 weeks; but after that the color has been great. Give it some time to burn in

try messing with the colour options on your monitor, should balance out the pinkness

I'll look in the nvidia control panel, I think I saw some kind of optimization wizard.

The name of the theme I was using is Vista Inspirat

I turned the Red down a few percent and it looks better. It was also the Theme that I had. When I turn it back to windows XP silver it looks fine. Now i need to find a nice sleek theme that won't screw up lol.

Ye I would have gone with the 2407 if it didn't cost so much more than the one I have now. But now that I have this monitor I'm glad I chose it

What are the viewing angles on it like? I'm guessing it's a TN panel unlike the S-IPS ones on the E2007WFP?

Yes I believe it is a TN panel. The viewing angles, for the most part, are pretty good.
