Google Chrome problem

It's not impossible buy I somewhat doubt it, because you said IE works fine.
Do you have another PC/smartphone to try and see if chrome/firefox are very slow there too?

Just tried that. Used a laptop connected directly to the superlolhub and pages seemed to load faster than my PC.

But the upload problem still happened.

As for my iphone.. Pages load super quick on chrome yet the upload speed don't work.

This is what the superhub says about the powerlevels etc

Just spoke with a mate who lives down the road and is on Virgin Media. He has the same problem with the upload speed. So this problem could all be done to Virgin... Glad I didn't format haha!

Then the upload speed is Virgin's fault and the slow browser is from your system.
Open command prompt and try this

  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • Enter
  • ipconfig /release
  • Enter
  • ipconfig /renew
  • Enter
Edit: You powerlevels seem to be fine btw.

Did that already and still happens.

Regarding anti-virus, you should get "Virgin Home Security" for free as a Virgin customer. It's powered by Trend Micro, while not the best it's free.

Your problem is a strange one, try some of the stuff found here if you haven't already.

Sounds like you have a DNS issue, what are your DNS servers set to on your net connection?

When you re-installed Chrome, did you try not signing in and not sync your account before you used it to see if it persists?

Also, another very good malware program is SuperAntiSpyware. It finds things other miss at times.

If his ISP is setting his DNS, would IE not use the same DNS server as Chrome, or even if Windows set it for that matter.

Made a post on the Virgin Media forums about the upload speed not working. Going to try and get that fixed then see what happens with Chrome.

Good old Virgin Media...
