I really need this card sooooo bad,restore my faith in the computer industry,an industry which over the years has cost me a small fortune in upgrades n hardware starting with a 386 dx40 in 1984/85 which cost me a marriage.

I am the poor smuck who parted with 140 quid for 4 one meg simms

many years ago.My last purchase was a bliss 7800 gs agp 512mb,which my oldest son has claimed for himself.

I am not getting any younger,that beast of a card will certainly make me feel a little better

i should win the g70 because a) i dont cant afford a crazy graphics card lright now b) i dont plan on dumping my money on dx10 graphics card because hl2ep2 wont use it c)im currently using my latitude x1 laptop which only has intel extremegrpahics 2 and i havnt played any games in awhile d)i saw this competition posted at xtremesystems and i bothered to come all the way here and register. I would love to win this card primarily because it would allow me a testing piece with which I would hope to get F@H working on nVidia cards. Having done some bioinformatics related work as a lab tech, I realize just how much processing power is needed for this work, and having more people chip in would be a huge help for a great cause. Whether or not it will be the most efficient way, and although the architecture might not be ideal, the effort would be worth it.

I'm in my first year of uni rapidly approaching liver failure, if I had this card I would have to get a new PSU to use it, which would mean sacrificing a lot of beer money, and gaining a few more years of life with which to enjoy my hideously expensive university education. Also, I overheated my over-clocked 6600GT the other week, and am now existing on a lowly 7300LE, which is stealing my ram. In the few days without a PC, I found I was addicted to the internet, and developed mild depressive symptoms, help me win the internets.

Well I'm a poor college stupid that would like to have a newer bigger and better video card then what i already have. Also it would be nice to view these forums with the 7950GX2.

Its the last thing i need in my computer to make it a real gaming computer :worship: I might even make a Overclock3D shrine. Ill make it pretty.

hey i dont think i should win this, but my dad should, he recently retired and is trying his best to upgrade the family computer, we have bits done already but he really cant afford a good gpu, neither can i.

i would give this to him as a chritmas present, would love to see his face, id post pics of it christmas day.

i know i have a slim chance in winning, being a new registerer (spelling? ) but its worth a short to drastically help my dads christmas!

Mmmmm,... now how should I go about saying why I deserve the 7950GX2 in this contest?.....

Well I could go the route like alot of users saying I am poor and I could really use this card,.. but if I was poor chances are my rig won't be able to run this card or even own a PC...

Another reason I could mention is that my current GPU is a POS and this video card could change my whole entire gaming experience but then I don't want to look like a charity case and get on my hands, and knees and beg as I am not a dog.

Additionally I won't try to gain any "browny" points by being a suck up and writing a poem about Overclock3D and Gainward so I won't.

All in all two heads are better than one and a with this dual GPU card I can unleash the twins and own all :lol:

I think I should win for the sake of not winning and because I gave a totally different and honest answer than the rest... ruff ruff and giggity...

Slowly, however surely I am piecing up a new build that I was sure to have a while ago. Something always seems to get in the way when I'm always about to complete it . This would definitely free up upgrading to a new video card to move on to other hardware to be done a little sooner. So pretty short here, however greatly appreciated to recieve one of these badass cards.

I should win because i spend most of my days playing with monkeys and orangutans. That makes me become more tarzanic and gives a feeling of beeing uncivilized.That is why i need something new and more civilized to play with.

OMG....Oh please please please!

I've recently become a serious gamer and I am totally hooked. Here's the problem, I've got a crappy system and graphics card. I consider myself a pretty good gamer, but due to video card issues I'm dead long before I see my opponents. I think my best FPS has been maybe 24 with an average of about 12-14. I don 't need to tell you that playing online with a 14 FPS is like sending a letter by mail to my friends and family. It's incredibly excuciating. I'd buy one in a heart beat, but alas money is tight and can't afford to buy a new card. Please help a brother in arms fight the good fight and actually get my frag rate above .75. Thanks

I need one of these because my girlfriend wants me to stick something a little longer than an fx5500 in her pci-e slot. Unfortunately, I only have a 6200 with turbocache. My gf could play for hours with something as long as a 7950 gx2.

I had wished for a computer my entire life but could not afford one. My first was a 1.5GHZ willimante with 128mb I got in 2003. I'm a avid gamer but I haven't been able to play games at the lowest resolution in about 3 years. I saved up and bought a Biostar TforceAM2 and I plan on buying sempron but I am budget limited so it will take a while. I would LOVE to have this GFX because it would have me CLOSE to hiend computer parts, as I never owned something that was hiend or even close.

i would like to win this graphics card because like any bencher, we always like to have some hardware to test and mod and to make a 3dmarks run. But sometimes we dont have money to be updated like the other concorrents, and there is no tweaking skill to beat a sli system with only a graphics card, so the competition is unfair and always win who has more money. Some years ago, was diferent, who has more tweaking skill won the orb.

1. I call dibs. I should immediately win by default.

2. I've never been a gamer because my video cards have always been weak (financial reasons). I was on integrated graphics through 3/6 whole-system builds, then a 6600LE (actually worse). I'm finally starting to get to playable levels, but not quite on games released in the last few years. Otherwise I have a decent system, please let me get some use out of it!

3. My avatar is cute. Oh, and it will eat you if I don't win.
