Good 2600K Stock Speed Temps

I'm just wondering if I've done a good enough job with the water block to throw 4.6 at this chip.

I'm not particularly together with the whole silicon lottery thing.

Temps will never go below ambient so depends how hot/cold the room is, but when i installed my D14 the temps where 1c colder at stock on 12v than the lowest fan speed so i don't think it gets much lower than that

with water? yeah, you should hold 4.6 fine. I have mine at 5.0 on water. Use Prime95 or something to stress check your overclocks. If it stays below 80 you are doing good. If it stays below 70 your doing great.

Cheers guys.

What voltage are you running for 5? I've managed to get down to 1.34 for 4.6 still working on it though.

I have to use a grip of volts. Its almost sad. I got a crap chip or a crap board. Not sure which at this point. Have a new board showing up next week that I can try this chip in. See what I can figure out after that.

This is where I've ended up.

Think I'll keep it here for now, I've saved the config. Something I forgot to do yesterday so when I went to start memory tweaking I ended up with a nice flashing cursos "DOH"

I'm happy with the Overclock and the Temps.

Anyone notice anything I should be concerned about??

Image is a bit difficult to make out, but I got to 4.6 Ghz stable (Prime95 over and hour) on 1.355 Volts. Temps peaked at 69C on Core 1 and Package Temp peaked at 71C

Cheers

The temps look a bit hot for an 2600k

I'm running a i7 980x @ 4.5Ghz with 1.375v

And my load temps are 60c room temp 28c

And I know that the 2600k don't run as hot

So you should have better temps I think
