going for the gold :)

Have you tried 102x49.In my experience, its stable at lower volts.

If you raise bclk to 100,2 should give 5.0ghz spot on.But it may be unstable, just a minor adjustment could cause bsod at these speed.

Edit:Btw nice for a 2600k

yeah I can up blck under 45multi with out issues but over 45multi it fails to boot I dont want to push voltages to much as I havent really found anywhere that says ok ur safe up to _.__ vcore and __c temps they all have different opinions and I didnt want to start another thread here asking lol I have tried up to 1.525vcore which is prolly to much most agree over 1.5 on air is decent spot I started vantage bench at the above oc and it crashed right after new calico didnt bsod just crashed the bench. Still learning the ins and outs of this like load line not sure where to put it as it has levels and I dont have a guide that says what each lvl is. Just taking a break for now and deciding whats fer dinner lol if I'm gonna order online for delivery or make something lmao Thinking Chinese but also have a hankering for some hot-wings from Hooters and maybe a cold brewski.

edit I had vcore set to 1.50 in bios but its kinda range thingy base showed 1.25 and next to that was where i could change it so I typed in 1.50 and went with it and it booted at 1.452 I guess somewhere theres a setting that makes it what ya input but I'll be damned if I can find it lol

LLC to level 10,and 1.45v+ is good for benching, but for 24/7 use 1.4v or lower,i would recommend. But it looks like you have a good chip.

hmmm I have bios set to 1.50vcore lol this is showing 1.6 lol bye changing things dont wanna blow it

lol look again that was 1.608 volts lol and yeah it booted into windows at 60c but quickly dropped to 43c I set it at 1.50 in bios but I guess lvl 10 llc pumped it up figured since it booted I'd try for more and well thats where I've been the last 25mins lol trying to get her to reboot again finally went back to stock and she booted now that she see it can be done back to the game I'll go

looks like the lvl10 llc was what was pushing it so high I dropped back to 4.5GHz with lvl 10 and it booted up at 1.56vcore rebooted again only change was dropping llc from lv10 back to auto and its at 1.35 same oc other than llc

if I had the cash I'd phase or chilled water cool her and see what she put out

Have you set "internal cpu pll overvoltage" to enabled?

This should also improve performance.

From what i can understand,2500k and 2600k cant go much further than this, unless you got lucky in chiplottery.

0.5-2% would go 5.3ghz+.But it could be fun to have it though

I'll give it a go most of these options arent really explained in the book or bios and google hasnt been alot of help either lol

Nice, just under 5.3

I wouldn't push the volts any higher though you are inside suicide territory.

EDIT: I just noticed your CPU-Z is saying 4 cores 4 threads, it should say 8 threads. Someone else had this problem a while back but i forgot how they fixed I think it was something in Msconfig.

Disable CPU spectrum spread and it should give you the correct BCLK of 100, so you'll actually see 5Ghz in CPUZ.

I turned off hyperthreading to help stabilize it. something I read somewhere said once ya get to a certain point the extra threas can hinder the oc.also in bios I have it set at 1.50 its the level 10 combined LLC thats pushing it to 1.608 Also I have noticed after benching the vcore settles down to 1.596 lol but all else remains the same.

well I looked and looked but there is no cpu spread spectrum anywhere to be found

its just spread spectrum and yeah have internal pll voltage on i dunno whether it will make a difference for you but i had to change my RAM timings to get a better clock

Might be called something else on your mobo!

On a side note how you getting on with your C300s in RAID0? Trim doesn't work in RAID does it? Is there something you use to do similar?
