Gloss Monitors?

Hey guys

I need to replace the monitors on my desktop.

I use 2x 24" matte samsungs.

However I want to switch to gloss (apple style)

Are there any good alternatives out there for a good price?

whats wrong with the samsungs? and why go with apple rip offs? might aswell get a mac while your at it

There's the South Korean imports (Catleap etc.) on eBay. I'm pretty certain they do them in glossy and non-glossy.

the samsungs are old and fading, i dont want the apple displays just something glossy with them as an example. and i already own a macbook pro and a 27" imac lol so i did get the mac...

Why do you want to go for gloss? You could go for a matte dell ultrasharp for less money, but pretty much the same quality.

i prefer the gloss finish, not a fan of matte. personal preference, though i cant find any reputable brand gloss screens currently...

Gloss is a son of a bitch if you are anywhere near a window. Stay clear if your screen is facing towards a window and not away from it.

I love my glossy finish Samsung but like said when near high ambient light it can be a bummer. Luckily for me mine resides in between 2 tower like deals on my desk so ambient light isnt an issue But I know where ur at with the glossy finishes they seem to display deeper colors than the matte finishes.

yea guys i have a 27" imac and thats no issue, can anyone actually recommend a screen? rather than talking about the issues with the finish ?

looks nice but at £530 a screen buying 2 will be to much and i really dont need 3d

hell I rarely use the 3d I got it mostly for the 120Hz refresh rate but yeah they are pricey i got mine second hand for 435$ US shipped. The Asus 120Hz iirc are glossy and affordable.

hmm still a bit pricey perhaps all glossy ones are? plus that asus seems to only come with nvidia 3d stuff

yea i was going to go for them if i didnt go for gloss. but if i can get gloss i will. thought me asking which are good seems to have been ignored on this thread largely : /
