Glass instead of Perspex ?

Hi all.

Glad I found this site, should be very useful as I intend doing quite a bit of modding in the near future.

Anyway - first post coming up

Is there any specific reason why I shouldn't use glass for the side window apart from the obvious safety stuff ?

I'd rather use glass as it is a lot clearer and wont scratch etc.

Hey man if you can use glass then fair play. Its harder to work with and cracks easier...that's why we don't use it! That would be a pretty awesome mod!!

Case sidepanels are flimsy and if u grab them from one side or both they have a tendency to flex, this could cause you some major stress issues and possible crack the glass... I'd say stick with Plexi as it's just as clear as glass in my book, I can't tell the difference at least (till it gets scratched, only downside)...

I just think glass is too big of a headache mate, stick with the plexi and u'll be alright
